Emi Adachi

Emi is the Director of North American Research and Co-Head of Global Research Operations. She is an equity owner of the firm. Emi researches property market, macroeconomic, and capital market trends and oversees strategy development and underwriting for all North American private equity and debt investments. She manages a team of research professionals and oversees ongoing support for Heitman's portfolio, including asset valuations, business plans, and hold/sell analyses. Additionally, Emi analyzes demographic and technological trends and their impact on real estate investment strategy and portfolio construction. Emi received her B.A. in Urban Studies from Stanford University.

Perica serves a Managing Director, Head of Preservation where she leads April’s strategy and execution to protect the supply of affordable housing in the U.S. She leads April Housing’s resyndication platform and strategy. Prior to joining April Housing, Perica was Head of Originations and Division Manager for MUFG Union Bank’s Community Development Finance Division. The Community Development Finance Division marketed, originated, closed, and managed debt and direct low-income housing tax credit equity and related financial products to the bank’s affordable housing developer relationships. Perica also influenced affordable housing real estate finance policy, collaborated with key stakeholders and leaders in the field to solve challenges around production and preservation of affordable housing portfolios, and supported capacity building for affordable housing developers. Prior to joining Union Bank, Perica was a project manager for Jamboree Housing Corporation, a premier “Top 50” non-profit affordable housing developer where she managed all phases of affordable multi-family project development, from site acquisition through development stabilization. Prior to that, Perica worked in public and government affairs for a local chapter of the Building Industry Association. Perica serves on the affordable housing advisory committee of the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate, and the planning commission for the City of Signal Hill. Perica holds a BA from the University of California, Irvine, a Master of Public Administration from California State University, Long Beach, and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

Philip Carmody

Philip Carmody is SVP and Head of ESG at GID. He is responsible for integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance principles at GID, developing ESG strategies and managing reporting and compliance obligations. Mr. Carmody joined GID in 2001 and worked in both multifamily operations and acquisitions. In 2004 Phil joined Royal Bank of Scotland and subsequently, its subsidiary, Citizen Bank. Mr. Carmody rejoined GID in 2013 in portfolio and asset management roles before assuming his current ESG responsibilities. Mr. Carmody received an MBA from UMass Boston in 2003 and a BSc in Real Estate from the University of Reading, England in 1993. Additionally, Mr. Carmody received a Master of Corporate Real Estate designation from CoreNet Global and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Wendell Chambliss

Wendell Chambliss is senior vice president and chief diversity and inclusion officer at Freddie Mac. A member of the company's senior operating committee, he reports directly to CEO Michael DeVito. Chambliss is responsible for advancing Freddie Mac’s Board approved diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) strategic plan, further embedding DEI in the enterprise’s business practices and the housing industry. In his role, Chambliss has oversight of workforce diversity, supplier diversity and use of minority- women- and disabled-owned businesses in financial transactions. He leads a team that works across the company to attract, engage and develop employees, diverse suppliers and business partners in support of DEI. He is also responsible for the enterprise's community outreach program and compliance with diversity requirements mandated by law and directed by Freddie Mac's regulator and conservator, the Federal Housing Finance Agency. Most recently, Chambliss served as deputy general counsel responsible for providing legal and regulatory guidance regarding Freddie Mac’s charter, affordable housing goals, fair lending and mission-focused activities. Prior to joining Freddie Mac, Chambliss was in private practice and worked on Capitol Hill. Chambliss earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Tulane University and a juris doctorate from the Tulane University School of Law.

I am an HR Director for PulteGroup where I have been for the last 3 years. Prior to that, I spent just over a decade at Universal Orlando where I spent time as an HR Business Partner for 5 years and an Operational Leader for about 5 years. Through these careers I've found my greatest skill set is in understanding how businesses operate as it relates to people, and influencing dynamics amongst teams, departments, and a divisions. I find that the people are the lifeblood of any organization and ultimately are what drive companies to a successful bottom line. I attended the University of Central Florida where I received a Bachelor's in Hospitality Management, and then received my Master's Degree in Human Resource Management from Webster University. I am also a SHRM Senior Certified Professional. In my personal life, I've spent time in real estate investing, purchasing and managing rental properties. I've taken a break from that for now while I put more focus into my career and family.

Prior to joining GID and Windsor in 2017, Ms. Jones was a Regional Manager with Pinnacle and Epoch, Acquisition Specialist with Riverstone, and Divisional Manager with TGM Associates. Ms. Jones holds a Bachelor’s in Public Relations and Business Administration from the University of Florida.

Min Woo Kang

Min Woo Kang serves as Senior Vice President, Capital Raising for GID and is responsible for building investor relationships and capital raising in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining GID, Mr. Kang spent nearly ten years at Tishman Speyer, most recently as Managing Director of Equity Capital Markets. While at Tishman Speyer, Mr. Kang developed strong relationships with investors in Korea and Japan, expanding the firm’s network of partners and raising over $3.5 billion of capital in aggregate to fund the company’s various investments globally. He also worked closely with the regional and portfolio management teams to provide client management services to investors in existing ventures; formulate and execute business plans; and forge new partnerships. Prior to Tishman Speyer, Mr. Kang spent five years with GE Capital Real Estate, with roles in equity and debt underwriting, deal structuring, and investment management. He also managed a global strategic partnership with an Asian institutional investor and evaluated and closed investments for a U.S. high-yield debt fund. Mr. Kang received a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University and graduate degrees in architecture and real estate from Harvard University.

Prior to joining Moran & Company (now Berkadia), Paul was an associate with Pacific Property Company and a director with Fifth Street Realty Partners where he was responsible for sourcing and underwriting multifamily acquisitions in Southern California. Born and raised in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, I attended Washington & Jefferson College to study Business and Accounting. Following graduation, I obtained my first career opportunity as a Public Accountant. After some sole searching realized Accounting was not my long term career passion and so I took a leap of faith and joined a Recruiting Agency. From there, I explored development with the Recruiting realm at various global organizations including Eaton, The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and eventually landed a Recruiting Leadership role at JLL. Since joining JLL, I've really found my passion in Talent Acquisition and have developed in various TA Leadership roles including most recently with a Global scope over our Work Dynamics Business Line.
